How to Scan a Document and Save it to a Computer
Peripherals connected to a network, such as scanners, allow computers on the network to share the system, resulting in cost savings, a consolidated work area, and increased office productivity for a small business. The scanner programme included with the system also helps the small business user to move scanned documents from the scanner to any machine on the network. The network installation and setup, as well as the system used to move the text, are similar to those used when installing a scanner on a non-network device.
Installation and configuration of a network
With the supplied AC cable, connect your scanner to a grounded wall outlet. Connect one end of a USB cable to the scanner’s USB port. Connect the other end to your network hub’s USB port. Switch on the scanner.

Right-click the scanner you built in the Network Computers and Devices window. Select “Install.” To complete network installation, follow the Windows prompts. Re-install the network on all of the machines on the network.

To access the Start menu, press the “Start” button. Select “All Programs” from the drop-down menu. Double-click the app that came with your scanner.
Place the paper on the scanner glass with the desired side facing down. The paper should be aligned with the guides on the sides of the scanner glass.

The built-in scan utility in Windows 10 can be accessed from the printer context menu.

It’s worth noting that, depending on the scanner you’re using, you may need to instal additional software on your computer. If you’re having trouble locating your files using the methods mentioned above, it’s a good idea to search inside your scanner’s original programme as well.
