How To Scan A Document And Send It Through Email? – Before We Get Into The Topic, let’s Learn Some Basic Of This Topic

Scan a document and e-mail it as an attachment. (For Windows) (video instructions available)

ControlCenter4 allows you to scan documents directly into your default Email application. You can then send the scanned data via attachment. To see more information about ControlCenter4, click the link below.

Home Mode

  1. Load your document.
  2. To view the video instructions, click on the image below.

    2. Choose theType of documentAndScan Size.
    3. ClickTale a look at the scan.
    4. The image viewer will display the scanned image. The image viewer will allow you to confirm and make any necessary edits.
    5. ClickSend and E-mail.
    6. TheSend an E-mailDialog will open. Configure the attached file settings*1Click here. The default E-mail app will open, and the image will then be attached to a blank email.

*1: The attached file can be saved as one of the following file types. (NOTE: File types available for the attached file may vary depending on Brother’s operating system and machine.

  • Windows Bitmap (*.bmp).
  • JPEG (*.jpg).File size.
  • TIFF (*.tif). You can choose “Uncompressed” and “Compressed”.
  • TIFF Multipage (*.tif). You can choose “Uncompressed” and “Compressed”.
  • Portable Network Graphics (*.png).
  • PDF (*.pdf). You can also configure file size.
  • Secure PDF (*.pdf). You can also configure file size.
  • XML Paper Specification: (*.xps), Available for Windows Vista and later.

Advanced Mode

  1. Load your document.

    2. click-mail. The default E-mail app will open, and the image will then be attached to a blank email.

Share a scanned document by email

Genius Scan will open the document and you can tap the “Open” button.ExportClick here2Verify your desired email parameters (E.g. JPEG or PDF format).

How to send an email with another email app

The AppleMailApp is the default method to send an email on iOS. We recommend using a lit’s safe and secure, and it can be used with any email account.
