If you do find it, there are many options to fix it.
1. Verify your internet connection
An internet connection is required to stream or play video on Spectrum TV.
If your internet connection is slow, you will get the DGE-1001 error message. It is best to ensure that your internet connection is working.
If the app isn’t working on the same network, you may have to restart your router. You can also try an alternative internet connection.
2. Restart your app
Even if you don’t have an internet connection, the app might be able establish a connection. This could happen if the app is being used in the background for a prolonged time.
Apps that consume more memory can cause an app to not connect to the internet or to function properly. If this happens, it is best to restart your app.
Close the app, then open it again. These steps will enable you to close the app.
- Go to Setting> Applications
- Scroll down to select the spectrum app
- Click enforcing a Stop
Reopen the app from your home screen and open it again. An Android app can be forced to stop. This will cause all its processes, background and foreground, to cease.
The app will be restarted and a connection established. To view videos, close the app and open it again.
3. Switch between Wi Fi and mobile data
This error is due to a network problem. To fix the error, switch between Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- Go to Settings
- Click on wireless or Networks depending upon your device
- Turn Wi-Fi off and mobile data will be turned off
To verify the difference, reopen the Spectrum App. It may not work if you restart the Spectrum App or switch to mobile data.
4. Find your preferred network type
You will need a 3G/4G internet connection to stream Spectrum TV from your mobile device.
If the Spectrum app doesn’t work, make sure you aren’t on a 2G network. It is slow and can’t stream HD video.
- Open Settings
- Go to wireless and Networks
- OpenCellular Networks
- Select your preferred NetworkType
Choose 3G or 4G (LTE/HSPA) from the drop-down menu. To try again, reload the app.
Spectrum app can give multiple error codes when you use the app. DFE-1004 on Android and DLC-1001 for Android are two examples of error codes that indicate network connection problems.
